Annual Care-leavers camp-out

This year we will be hosting our first annual care-leavers camp-out! We have partnered with the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) to offer care-leavers a free two-night stay in the beautiful Wye Valley camp site. This will be the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature, and people, after a long period of isolation.

There are 30 glamping bell-tent spaces and lots of space for your own tents. Additionally, care-leavers will receive a free YHA membership, granting 10% discount off future stays at any YHA accommodation. This event will be our biggest meet up yet and during the two days there will be guided walks, bush craft, art workshops, mindfulness, yoga and more! This will be accompanied by evening activities, with lots of surprises.

This event is perfect for both care-leavers who are completely new to camping and those who are avid adventurers. The bell-tents provided on site offer a great introduction to camping, coming fully furnished with their own single beds, or if you prefer to bring your own then there will be plenty of pitching spaces. During the day there will be loads of great activities to take part in, all free for care-leavers and all optional. This is the perfect opportunity to experience the benefits of the outdoors, it will be a great place to make new friend and help start a community between all care-leavers.

As the event is set up to promote experiences for care-leavers, it will be free for care experienced people*, along with children, however, accompanying non-care-leaver friends and family will be asked to pay a small fee of £10 per day.

We hope you can join us for our biggest event yet, further details will be provided closer to the date so keep checking our website https://www.undertheskyevents.org/ or follow us on social media Contact Us
